Children's
Camp!
Doug Lee,
Associational Missionary
First, I want to thank all the
churches that send their children to Children's Camp this
year. I want to say thank you to all the Adults, and Camp
Missionsaries/Jr. Counselor's that made this camp a sucess. I want
to thank the churches of Oregon Trail Baptist Associaiton
for providing this camp experience for Children. The camp this year
was a younger group of kids but God still worked in their lives. We
saw 4 professions of faith, 2 girls ask how one knows if God is
calling them to missions, and we had children that asked to
be prayed with for a varity of needs. The temps were high so the
waterslide was a popular place everyday. By the way we had 55
campers this year, one of our larger camps. Another added blessing
was seeing some of our former campers coming back as Camp
Missionaries.
I am hoping that our churches
will put the Children's Camp down on their calendars as a
high pirority for 2010. We would like to have more children, camp
missionaries, and adult sponsors. I would like to see us fill up
the camp, it can hold 100 campers, and we have the protintial for it
to happen.
Praises!
-
OTBA Children's Camp - We
prayed for God's will to be accomplished in all the campers and
we are hearing of reports of campers responding to His will.
-

School in June.
-
Keystone Baptist Church,
Hastings - Experianced God's hand in their outreach last week.
They had over 65 kids particpate in their two Kids Bible Clubs
seeing 3 professions of faith. The Block Party was a sucess
also, the best count they could get was having over 50 not
counting the Keystone People and mission team people. We
discovered 4 prospective families and had one of them attend
this past Sunday.
-
Trying to start a Place of
Light/Church Plant, Aurora - Experianced a good week:
The mission team did various acts of kindness in the community
in the mornings, door to door survey in the evenings, and a
Block Party on Thursday evening. They had 1 man accept Christ,
and located number of families open to a Bible Study and
possible church plant. This week people are still contacting Jo
about the upcoming Bible Study. By the way a family from a
neighboring community ask Dave McDonald if they opened their
home for a kids Bible club in the future if we would be open to
coming to lead it.
-
Crossroads Church in Kearney
and Tri-city Fellowship in Grand Island - Dave
McDonald lead both congregations in doing a prayer walk durning
their regular worship times to see the needs and where God might
have them reach out into. Both congregations see protentials for
Places of Lights and church plants! (Vision Casting).
-
House Church, Gering - God seems to be
connecting them with some new families!
