Meet Oregon Trail
Welcome to the Oregon Trail Baptist Association
 
We like to see ourselves as a family of churches on mission with Jesus Christ. It is our desire to honor our Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do or say.
 
You may be visiting our website to learn about one of our churches, or the Oregon Trail Baptist Association. So, let's look at some our cooperative efforts:
  1. Children's Camp. The third week of July the churches of Oregon Trail Baptist Association cooperative to host a camp for 2nd grade through 6th grade children. This year we added a new part of our camp, Jr. Counselors (middle and high school kids) to help the adult counselors. God bless this years camp with 10 professions of faith, 6 assurances of salvation, 2 surrender to full time Christian Service, and 4 other decisions.
  2. Disaster Relief Mobile Feeding Kitchen. As apart of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Ministries we have prepared meals for the Salvation Army at Memphis, TN and later in Pearl River, LA in 2005, prepared meals for the American Red Cross  at Harrison, Nebraska in 2006, and prepare meals for the Salvation Army at Greensburg, KS in 2007.
  3. Block Party Trailer. With the support of Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists and a grant from the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention the churches of Oregon Trail Baptist Association is in the process of building a Block Party Trailer that the churches can use for outreach, church planting, and Children's Camp.
  4. Missions. In 2006 our churches reported 250 people served as short term missionaries across western Nebraska on one time mission projects, 167 people served beyond western Nebraska on one time mission projects, and 55 people served in continuing ministries. Also, 3 people served in International mission projects. Churches in the Oregon Trail Baptist Association sent out 475 short term missionaries in 2006.
